Looks like a golden raintree. It’s seedpods are noticeable in the lower portion of your picture.

Thanks Bobby but I think the angle of the photograph is confusing – it was taken from a steep bank – what appears to be seed pods is actually just the undergrowth. The color of the foliage stands out against all the other trees, it is Bright Chartreuse all through the season. I don’t think I have seen that color foliage on a golden rain tree. It is a deciduous tree and is in the process of losing its leaves.

It looks a lot like the black walnut tree.(Juglans nigra)The leaves look a little too close together to be from a pecan tree or hickory. And the leaflets aren’t round enough to be ash.
