Notes:
This seems to be a tall tree, not a bush. It just started flowering the last week of March. The flower seems vaguely fragrant. I have a leaf ID app but it doesn’t show what it is, some trees could match but none with yellow flowers. Please help?

Thank you Diane for the feed back and the flower’s ID. I was thinking the same thing: “a vine growing on a tree” too. But with out more photos, I couldn’t rule that out. Congrats on the new found fragrant beauty! Laura

Oh, I found out the mystery! I went back to look for the tree so I could look at its bark for ID purposes. Well I couldn’t find it! I had found it before because of the fallen yellow flowers on the ground around it. Now I didn’t see any. We have a lot of trees so it was really hardly to spot. My neighbor told me it’s Southern yellow jasmine, a vine growing on a tree. So the tree leaf doesn’t match the flower. I’m delighted to have jasmine though! If I can find it again, I’ll have to smell it later in the evening, that’s when it’s supposed to be most fragrant.

Could you provide us with more photos to include the branches with attached leaves and flowers? Also, a photo of the tree itself would help. Thank you!
