I gathered these nuts/seeds/acorns last fall and am 80% sure the leaf is related. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I didn’t find anything conclusive on the web.Thanks

A whole leaf with an image of the stem and buds would solidy ID, but it roughly looks like a White Oak. I don’t see bristle tips on the lobes of the leaf.
I also looks like you have a pignut hickory nearby. If those are acorns the nut cap would help ID that. But I’d bet those are pignuts, the hull would confirm that.
