You’re welcome Thomas! Appreciate the feedback on the plant’s interesting medicinal, Latin names and its use. I don’t study Latin, but always like the sound of it. And here is my poor attempt of this lovely language: Pax tecum Thomas!

Plant Identified! Yay! Thank you Laura. Everybody here has been stumped as to the plants identity. Pereskia Grandiflora Rose Cactus (Cancer Cactus, Pray for Us) Considered a sacred healing plant for severe illness since ancient times, due to its medicinal properties. Current research confirms the anticancer effectiveness of this plant. This plant was traditionally used for severe illnesses such as cancer, which did not respond to any other treatment other than prayer. Which is how it got such names as Cancer Cactus, Pray for Us & Ora Pro Nobis.

Maybe a variety of Pereskia. This might be Pereskia grandifolia var. violacea. Best wishes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pereskia_grandifolia
