Notes:

The second picture with the pink buds is a tree that stands about 6 ft tall. The 3rd flower. The 3rd plant (a picture of 3) has a wood stick that protrudes from the center. It looks like the stick is dead. Should I remove the stick?

Top shrub is a Crepe Myrtle. Will bloom all summer, then drop leaves and go dormant in winter. Low Maintenance, many varieties and sizes. You can google and look for proper pruning – please don’t commit “crepe murder” by whacking the tops off of all the branches!
Second plant is a day lily of some variety. You can usually give the dead piece a light tug, once they’re completely dried out they’ll pull out or reach in and snip off with pruners. that was the bloom stalk for the daylily. Also low maintenance, many varieties, colors and bloom times. Will die off and go dormant in the winter and come back in the spring. Biggest sin, not feeding in the spring, they’re hungry when they’re blooming.
The third is a annual, meaning you have to plant new next year, they don’t survive the winter.

the 3rd annual is a mix of coleus (burgundy leaves in background) and vinca with pink flowers.
