It started growing in the spring, I just left it alone. But it obviously likes its location next to my water hose and a warm brick wall. I came close to cutting it down because I can’t allow a large plant to grow next to the house. But I guess I had a little sympathy for it because it grew so large so far. The large leaves are quite impressive. The leaves are starting to turn brown with the season. It is a giant weed?

Sure looks like a Paulownia tomentosa. Has several common names. Empress Tree, Princess Tree and others. Interesting tree but cut it now and read more about it later.

Cut down on Saturday – gone to the bruch pile. I guess a neighbor must have one of those spreading seeds. I guess I know now to place it along invaders like Chinese Privet, which I am cutting down constantly.
