I have admired this flower in a friend’s yard for years. She gave me several bulbs early this year. She couldn’t remember the name. Help!

   Thanks. I finally found the name shortly after posting. It is Bletilla striata also known as hyacinth orchid. It is a great plant. I highly recommend it.
