Notes:
This beast of a plant blooms every so often just outside my office window. It has over run the window. when it blooms, it’s beautiful, but it doesn’t stay for very long. does not bloom during the winter or cold months.

Suzanne Green Thumb says:
Hibiscus coccineus, commonly known as swamp hibiscus, Texas star, or scarlet rose mallow. Beautiful plant – you are lucky to have it! The deer would have a feast on it if I tried to grow it.
