Yes, as Jim said: “Very difficult because of such a common leaf shape.” Also without flowers to help narrow down at this stage. I’m taking a guess also. Maybe the four o’clock plant (Mirabilis jalapa)? When it blooms and you still don’t know, please resubmit with photo of flowers. Check out the included link below for information. Very difficult because of such a common leaf shape. It doesn’t really strike me as being black nightshade, but that’s about the only guess I can hazard. Possibly an escaped cultivar of some sort? A red pepper? (My focus as an amateur is on wild growth in the Piedmont and southern Appalachians).
