I would help with my roses.The leaves look dry but closer checking a small green worm looks as if it had eaten back of leaf it looks lace. I have sprayed with insecticidal spray.I wood like to prevent this from happening any suggestions I would appreciate. Mary Tinsley

This might be Malva neglecta, it has numerous common names, roundleaf mallow, common mallow, cheeseweed, etc… 2- Maybe some thing in the goosefoots genus (Chenopodium). This might be the white goosefoots (Chenopodium album)? 3- Can you please show us the rest of the plant?
