Notes:
The tree is maybe 40 feet tall and columnar shaped. The leaves are clustered, burgundy,long and oval shaped. There is the remains of what may have been some sort of flower coming out of the clusters

Yes it is- it blooms in the spring and you need to try some Sourwood honey next time you are in the north Georgia mountains- supposedly made by bees in close proximity to Sourwoods! It is a great tree.
