Notes:
This plant has been reseeded for 5 years now and was originally brought from Canada (BC) by my Aunt. I am out of seeds and would like to at least identify this plant in case I am not successful in getting a new batch of seeds from this plant. It is very hardy and grows to about 36″ tall

Maybe Malva trimestris, common names include: royal mallow, regal mallow and annual mallow. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/24/

I thought this was related to Alcea Rosea but it has a short stamen and has long stems(4-5″) from the stalk, also has smooth leaves not fuzzy one’s like regular Hollyhock. It is sure different than any Hollyhock that I used to have in my garden.

Looks like a Hollyhock or Alcea Rosea http://www.floridata.com/Plants/Malvaceae/Alcea%20rosea/1094
