This just sprang up and I decided to let it grow and it turned out to be really pretty, but I have no clue what it is. I live in white plains alabama in the central part of the state. This plant is only about 1 month old.

Spider flower! Mom had bunches of ‘em when I was kid. A summer favorite. http://www.illinoiswildflowers.info/weeds/plants/spider_flower.htm

Thanks for telling me the true name. I’ve always heard it called “Cats Whiskers”. There are many of these plants around where I work–a vet’s office. Pretty appropriate.
