Small purple blooming perennial seems to be taking over our flower beds. It spreads with runners along the ground. Any ideas?
At a guess, Ruellia brittoniana
Can’t really tell from the picture…

Seems like a good plant to keep in an island bed surrounded by turf…
At my house, the deer eat it.
Looks like amsonia, a native form
