Jan, the plant doesn’t look too unhealthy. It’s a native and has a kinda straggly growth habit. It would of course benefit from some TLC. Mulch for sure. Maybe if we pinch them back as they grow they might branch out some. I might try that next year.

I believe it’s offician name is campana. It also loves the sun, and reseeds itself profusely after blooming and the seed pod dry and burst.

this looks like what I call false lambs ear. I have them in my front yard and they are under trees they are beautiful. they grow really well where they are. they come back every year I do nothing to them except enjoy their beauty.
