Notes:

Located just north of Phoenix in the foothills, approx 2200 feet. Takes over any patch of dirt without a plant aleady growing there. Grows to a height under 12 inches. Anytime I go near it, I swell up like a balloon and am covered in hives. A patch test revealed I’m allergic to parthenolide (Tanacetum parthenium) so I’m thinking this might be related.

    You maybe right since both are in the same Asteraceae family. This looks like pineappleweed aka wild chamomile (Matricaria discoidea). One of its synonyms is Tanacetum suaveolens . Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium). One or its synonyms is Matricaria parthenium .
