Notes:

The top of this plant has very tight clusters of flower buds , the leaves are rubbery, shiny and very green. There are several clumps growing randomly in my lawn( the lawn was newly top soiled and planted last summer). They measure approx. 12″ in diameter and 10-14″ tall . Definitely reminding me of a sedum plant but cant find any pictures like this any wnere. Any thoughts? Thank you

Thank you Laura! I did find the same plant after being pointed in the right direction 🙂 it is indeed an early winter cress! And i thoroughly enjoyed learning about it. I really appreciate your help.

Maybe a species of winter cress aka yellow rocket (Barbarea)? Sorry, I can’t tell which one this is. Check out Barbarea verna, and babarea vulgaris and see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=barbarea++plant+species&sa=N&biw=1366&bih=605&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ved=0ahUKEwiA5JaSjZvMAhVEJaYKHQLtAH84ChDsCQhH#imgrc=scPjJhC92JabzM%3A
