Notes:

I’m trying to figure out what kind of grass this is. It grows in very dense shade under a water oak tree. I love the grass and I want more to grow under my tree. Can anyone help me to identify this type of grass?

When it greens up and grows, if it feels like a fine carpet, it’s Zoysia. I have it and it started greening slightly by April 10, so I’d make a bet.

If it is brown (dormant) during the winter months it’s Emerald Zoysia. It is a little early for this grass to be this green in McDonough, though. I’m in McDonough too.
