I agree with Diana, it looks like iris pseudoacorus, the European flag iris. It sprouts from see easily(i “borrowed” some from outside an Up The Creek restaurant that had just charged me a fortune for steak and lobster tail) and though dry, the all sprouted), so it might be invasive. But it has some fascinating hybrids with Japanese iris that are all sterile, so safe to plant.

I never realized that iris would live in water. My mother at one time had many different iris plants that were absolutely beautiful every spring. This has to be a different variety, correct???
