it clings into an old mango tree…what’s amazing is that it emits smoke…more smoke in the morning, then in the afternoon…worried it this is very poisonous or something…please help…

June 9th, 2012 at 2:03 pmI think what you are seeing is the spores coming off the mushroom.It is a polypore of some kind. It can’t hurt you if you don’t eat it. We don’t seem to have that one in North America..

Looks like a slice of moldy pizza. But, in reality, it is a fungus sending out spores.

Moldy pizza will also send out spores if left long enough. Are you sure it wasn’t pizza???
