Found this growing in my garden, and I don’t recognize the foliage at all. So far it hasn’t bloomed. I’m in NJ, zone 7a. It’s growing pretty big and sprawly, so I’d like to know if I need to pull it.

Looks like Asiatic dayflower, Commelina communis. It will have a very pretty blue bloom later in the summer. Dayflower is a rather invasive plant in the Southeast. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/32810/

That’s definitely it! Thanks. I went and pulled it ASAP.

I have some in Atlanta, and it seems very easy to pull out. Love the true blue flower and the vegetation is kinda pretty, too. I found a small piece with a rootlet on my garden wall and put it in a fairly small, walled-off garden in semi shade. Am I going to regret this? And are the roots as delicate as they appear?
