Notes:
I’m getting a bunch of these popping up in my bermuda grass this spring. I’m looking to find out what it is and how to treat it if necessary.

Conyza blooms in late summer. If you mow it… Will probably kill it. Like I said… It’s no big deal. Personally… I’d be using it as a nutrient accumulator… Let it get large and then toss them on the compost pile…

Thanks Stone! You’re right on the ID. Is it a winter annual or spring/summer? Given there’s a lot in my yard, any suggestions other than pulling? If only I knew Bermuda was a weed…if only I knew!

Looks like mare’s tail weed (Conyza canadensis) No big problem… blooms late in the season, an annual… at my house it played host to a moth cat (Ctenoplusia ). Easy to pull out. I’d be more concerned about trying to defeat the bermuda… One of the worst weeds I’ve ever tried to control… Was killing cattle in 2012!
