Notes:
Planted two of these three yrs ago and a couple new shoots came up just like the originals but this year there are three “things”….cone shaped green things coming up. One larger one is near the bottom of the picture. They have the same stalk as the original plant. I have searched and cannot find anything and am concerned it may be poisonous to animals. Thanks for any ideas. Lori

It is a ginger, called shampoo ginger. The inflorescence has a wonderful clean liquid that can be used to wash your hair! Zingiber zerumbet
