Notes:
My students are making a leaf collection and one brought in this for me to identify. I have tried to key it out using the VT Tree ID Key, but couldn’t find it. It is a thicker leaf, but not as thick as a Southern Magnolia. Appears to have alternate leaf arrangement and is a simple leaf. I don’t know if it is more of a shrub or a actual tree.
