Notes:

I didn’t plant it. It has been coming up every yr for 3 or 4 yrs. It gets tall 6 or more feet. Hollow center. I can’t pull it out. It seems to have grown a root base that will have to be dug up. Once it dies…..the stalks are 3/4 inch or so in diameter and hollow. Nw michigan is my location.

    I’m taking a guess only, maybe American burnweeds (Erechtites hieracifolia)? American burnweeds can grow to 6-8ft. If its not that, re post with picture of flowers.
