Notes:
I bought the seeds at Home Depot and we’re suppose to be banana peppers.I noticed early on that this was not a pepper plant. Any help identifying would be much appreciated.

It is a bit on the short side but lets hope you have Sorghum vulgare var. technicum which is commonly called broomcorn. You might have a new broom come Fall unless you have a ton of the fibrous panicles in which case you’ll have 900 to 1200 new brooms (according to Wikipedia). I bought a packet of broomcorn seeds last Spring and ended up having to pickle peppers…………

I plant purple majesty millet each year and it has a fuller ‘flower’ more like a cat tail, and not feathery. Unfortunately I can’t offer a good guess as to what it might be…

I believe it is sorghrum. If you have a birdseed feeder with mixed seed it might have “escaped” ftom the feeder.
