What is this? I originally thought it was a certain tree (wont mention cause I don’t want to skew responses) but don’t think it is any more. The leaves are fuzzy (not glossy), light green, alternate with some being red. Its a nice looking tree just really wondering what it is. I have seen the same tree in the mountains 25′+ tall. Not as big as an Oak, but bigger than a Dogwood…

I transplanted this from the mountains to Atlanta last fall.

   Thanks, that is what I thought it was, its just that this has kinda furry leaves, and Sourwoods are supposed to have glossy.

   I guess we’ll see what it does as it gets older!
