Notes:
A short walk in the woods, and I’ve spotted a very tall tree with large heart-shaped leaves. At the end of the branches are these pods that open to reveal a white feathery substance. They are brown in color, even while the leaves are still very green. Any ideas what this is, please?

Paulownia. An aggressive invasive. Most aren’t very tall, but the description otherwise fits exactly.
