It is the plant in the foreground. This was taken this morning on Cape Cod, Mass.

With a busy back ground and the plant’s hazy image. I’m not certain, but this perhaps a species of willowherbs (Epilobium). Some of them have pinkish elongated seed capsules (the needle looking like on the plant) . The recorded species in MA: E. Ciliatum, E. coloratum, E. hirsustum, E. hornmanii, and E. leptophyllum. If this is an Epiobium. I am guessing this might be Cinnamon willow-herb, Purpleleaf willowherb (Epilobium coloratum).
