This is cleome. It is an annual but frequently returns from seeds that fall.

Cleome hassleriana…common name Spider Flower. It is a reliably heavy reseeding annual in my garden. Once you have it you will probably never do without. It comes in several shades of dark and light pink, white and pink, lavender. I love it. It is easy to identify and pull up if you get too many.

Cleome hasslerana. A lovely annual flower that will drop its seeds from the long pods so that you will have more next year.
