The second flower is what the first one looks like when it has done blooming according to the person who posted these on Face Book. Can anyone ID it for me?

    Thanks for the link. It does look more like the Monarda now that I see the picture with the large seed head. I ordered the Barbara’s Buttons plant from Plants Delight after seeing it.

    You’re welcome Diana, sometime it is hard to tell from pictures especially the close-up kind. Those Narrow-leaf Barbara’s Buttons are pretty though. Here link to the Monarda fistulosa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarda_fistulosa

    Thanks, Laura. You might be right. I also happened to find this plant on Plant Delights web site that I thought it might be http://www.plantdelights.com/Marshallia-tenufolia-Irwin-Co-GA-ex-for-sale/ I did not know that Monarda had such a large seed head but I don’t have the wild variety.

    Looks like Wild Bergamot or Bee Balm (Monarda fistulosa).
