The Air Potato, Dioscorea bulbifera, is a weed and cultivated plant, in tropical climates. The weed type is easily recognized be its’ round tubers. The cultivated type has larger leaves than the weed, and the tubers are larger with several flattened angles. The cultivated type is planted in Spring and harvested in Fall. It would do well as an annual in temperate climates. The tubers get to be up to a couple pounds each, cook up easily, then can be placed in a recipe. They make great hash-browns! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dioscorea_bulbifera https://theprepperproject.com/edible-air-potato-enemy-government/

Air potato. Dioscorea bulbifera. Extremely invasive, but can be controlled. While some varieties are edible, I wouldn’t count on it.
