Notes:
This shrub is directly in front of my house in Northern Georgia. I would like to reduce its height in half. It grows rapidly to about 8 feet before I trim it down to 6 feet. I want to cut it back to 4 feet high but I’m worried it will die. I don’t know what this shrub is. It has smooth woody trunks. Leaves are glossy and it smells like basil when trimmed. I haven’t seen any flowers but that might be because of the way I prune it. Any idea what this is?
