Notes:
This was in my backyard. Previous owner bought it in Texas. Dies back in winter, comes back in late spring. Grows to about 5 feet. Is not doing as well as previous years, too much rain? I don’t know how to care for it as I don’t know what it is. I have looked at thousands of pictures thinking it might be some kind of palm. No luck.

After looking at more images I have found that the plant is actually Cyperus Papyrus sometimes called umbrella plant. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
