Notes:
Have several of these growing up in the back yard of two adjacent homes in Eastern Ontario. No one seems to know what they are or where they came from. They are still growing strong and one is over 4 feet tall already. No blooms or branches of any kind. Stock has small reddish rings below leaf stems.

Check out Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum aka Fallopia japonica), and Giant Knotweed (Fallopia sachalinensis).
