These two plants have appeared in different places in our yard. The one with white flowers is in the ground. The other is in a pot that we grew a peace lily for several years that died this winter. Are they weeds or plants? Thanks!

The first is a noxious weed. The second,polkweed. Young shoots edible, but require special prep to remove. toxins.
