Notes:
This vine plant started growing rapidly in August and when I looked at it one morning, it took over my tomato plants and it had beautiful indigo colored flowers.
I didn’t plant this and it was in a bed that had been empty since the spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Morning Glory. Yours jumped up about the same time as mine. I haven’t defined the variety but the genus is Ipomoea.

I have this on my property in Marietta as well. My wife liked the flowers and so transplanted it to grow on a fence. Oddly the flowers have completed changed shape from the trumpet to a fuzzy looking half sphere. Sorry I dont know the name of the plant but that information might help in identifying the plant.

They look like Morning Glories to me.

Yes I am 100% thesse are Morning Glories. I have these in my yard in all color (white, pink, blue, purble – in all dark and light shades). I do love these flowers a lot. Especially taking close-up pictures of the flowers. I just love the look and color or this flower.
But, I hate with its growing habbit of like ‘intanglled’ hair. I am just not able to keep it nitly climb up. Well, actually I managed well in the begening. It looked so pretty on the bird house poll.
I love the flower and leaves but I just can not stand the ‘un-manageble’ habbit of drooping down, not able to stand on its own.
Anyway, it is a pretty flower.
