Notes:

this is growing next to a creek in Hiawassee, GA. Towns County in North GA. I noticed it in the spring and it appears that it is distressed as it gets hotter. About 8″-9″ tall with a single stalk.

   This is the may apple (Podophyllum peltatum), AKA American Mandrake.
   May apple is another prized plant sought by shade garden enthusiasts.
