Notes:
This plant came up in my vegetable garden between 2 rows of tomatoes. It looked similar to an eggplant, which I’ve never planted, so I was curious and let it grow. It first started developing pods resembling a large cuckleburr, which later turned into white trumpet type blooms. I would appreciate any help in identifying this plant, is it something completely wild, or is it a cultured plant? Thanks for any help.

My grandpa called it stink weed, because it has a very bad smell.
