Notes:

Found this almost black blooms in clusters on a vine climbing a mulberry tree. I have seen this plant a few times but never knew what it was.

    Thanks Stone! I had looked everywhere for it. It is on a one of my reguelar routes, checking fences so I will try to look for those seed pods. Mostly I leave things alone to do their thing and enjoy their beauty as it is.

    Matelea caroliensis or similar matelea ( spiny pod milkweedvine) Go back in late summer and see if you can catch the pods ripening… Can be grown from wild collected seed, but will take a couple 3 years to see flowers on seedlings.
