I posted a few pictures of this plant that volunteered in my shady back yard last week and somebody wanted a closer look at the leaves so I have uploaded a better picture. It’s not Grancy Grey beard- more shrub-like than tree-like and the rest of the Fothergilla is not in bloom yet. Not a Clematis (not a vine). Any other thoughts.
