Possibly aureolaria virginica. These cool wildflowers seem to be a host plant for the buckeye butterfly… And are impossible to transplant as they get part of their nutrients from oak trees… “hemi-parasitical”. I’ve tried growing aurolarias from collected seeds, without success… So far, but other people claim to have accomplished this. So… Protect your patch of wildflowers… They are very cool.
