Notes:

I have been asked to identify this plant, and I can’t. Can anyone help? It looks like it is woody and the flowers sprout from the branches like a Rhododendron.

    It’s a Thalictrum or meadow rue. A bit hard to tell exactly which without seeing the foliage or having a sense of scale but I’d say it’s Thalictrum delavayi. The species occur in a range flower colors and plant sizes. You can see a range of them at http://www.botanicalstockphotos.com/photos-thalictrum-188.htm .
