Notes:

My daughter planted 3 type of seeds from a Hummingbird Attracting flower kit over 2 years ago and this one is still alive and is just now finally blooming but we have no idea what it is. For the first 2 years it had rather long leaves and layed flat on the ground. Then this spring it sent our the 2 stalks you can see. The box is long gone so we are at a loss. Hope you can help us.

Well I have noticed that the blooms are very short lived. There are about 4 open and bight yellow at 9:30 am this morning. There are a few others that have paled and shriveled. I will take a look during the day today to confirm. Thanks much

Looks like maybe a small variety of evening primrose, also called sundrop. Do the blooms open in the evening and close up in the sunlight of the day?
