Notes:

I planted a vegetable garden with my children and this plant popped up and overtook the entire garden. I’m suspecting it may be a weed because there are no blooms or flowers. It is about 6 feet high right now! The only thing I planted in the garden was cucumbers, squash, lettuce, green beans, peas, and strawberries. Please help!

That’s a beauty! Chenopodium album. Lambs quarter. Kinda large for eating at this late stage, although…. I tip my plants and eat those leafy tips right up until it starts to bloom. I always make sure to let one set seed… I had the misfortune to see one garden where they were completely eradicated by people pulling them all for the cooking pot untill there were none left! Related to quinoa, it’s supposed to be possible to collect the seeds… If you want to do the work of cleaning them. Or… You can toss it on the compost as a nutrient collector.
