I have seen this I believe in GA, but on a recent trip saw this tree and really like it and wanted to see what it was an if it would do well in GA

Yes, it will do fine in Georgia. I have one. It is a horse chestnut. Mine is aesculus x carnea and looks like this might be the same one.
