this tree started growing from the base of another tree about 1 1/2 yrs ago.It is already around 10 to 12 feet tall.Can anyone help & let me know what kind it is,please ? Thanks !

Likely Wax Leaf Ligustrum or Japanese Privet http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/51523/ It is not common for it to grow to a tree form.
