What tree is this?

Notes:

tree is 30 ft. + tall, leaves are large up to 12 inches, simple, opposite, dark green with light green veins, tropical looking. Brown terminal buds. Tree trunk is smooth and green colored.

    There is a maple that looks a lot like this. Does it have spectacular fall color (mostly red) and feather like seeds in the spring?

    I’m pretty sure that you’ve posted a limb from a fig tree.

    CORRECTION: leaves of this tree are ALTERNATE not opposite. (Acer species have opposite leaves)
