Notes:
A friend offered some of these plants to me, but knows nothing about them except that they’re perennials. The bloom looks a bit like an evening primrose, but the foliage is larger. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a species of evening primrose. According to sources, the Oenothera genus has about 145 species. Link below with some of the different species.
