Hearts of Gold Redbud
(Cercis canadensis 'Hearts of Gold') Flowering tree native to the eastern half of the U.S. Most
of are familiar with the wild redbuds that inhabit the edges of woods
with their bright lavender flowers in very early spring. Now we have an
improved variety that has the same flowers but with golden-chartreuse
foliage.

Plantings Mailbox plantings, you either love them or hate them.
Some have compared them to a shrine for the U.S. Postal Service, but I
see them as an opportunity to create mini-gardens with height and color
that are often the first landscaping features in the front to be seen.
